Given that most of us leave the tap on whilst we brush our teeth and, given that the average tap running an average water pressure puts out five litres of water every minute and, that we spend two minutes on average (loving the averages today right) twice a day brushing or teeth, you could summise that the average person wastes say, 19 litres of water every day just brushing their teeth! Nothing like a but of guilt then to motivate one into doing somthing. Global bathroom manufacturer Roca have come up with this...the Intelligent Drain. Using a flow meter on the water pipes, information is cleverly sent to the drain cover's unique LCD display showing exactly how much water you've just used. Great if you either want to either conserve our resources or conserve your bank balance if you're on a water meter!

Type iPhone into your search engine and in amongst the list of sites advertising cheap deals on phone contracts, there are bound to be triple that number offering cheap accessories for your new phone. That's all well and good but we aren’t too keen on middle of the road here, remember the iphone case made of skateboards? That's more our bag. So you can imagine my excitement when I stumbled on this, the Phonofone III dock. Unlike other iPhone amplifiers, this one needs no power source, it doesn’t even use any of your phone’s power in fact, it doesn’t even have any electrical components.

Handmade in Canada, this ceramic horn works on exactly the same principle of the old gramophone: the output from your iPhone's external speaker is increased to around 60 decibels just by the widening of the funnel. This would be great for use in the office, kitchen, garden, in the park. As they say, the funnel start here!

I'll get me coat.

Another great iPod related product...Deco Blasters are refurbished old fashioned radio sets, the kind that were called 'wireless' long before WiFi was even a concept, the kind that were made from wood and had valves inside and radio Luxembourg on the dial.

The refurbishement by Joe Dobson brings these devices thundeing into the 21st century with the addition of an iPod dock and a remote control. Apart from the obvious re-cycling benefits, these 'sets' look pretty fantastic and would contrast brilliantly with almost any living room today. Have a look www.thedecoblaster.com/ for more information.
